Background:
A leisure club located near Windermere required a reliable water booster system to ensure consistent water supply throughout its complex. The site posed several unique challenges, including the need to supply water 40 meters up an embankment to a second booster set that would distribute water to the outlets on the property.
The client also requested remote monitoring of the booster sets, an important consideration for ensuring ongoing performance and minimizing downtime. However, the area’s poor data coverage made it difficult to rely on cloud-based monitoring systems.

Solution:
Stuart Turner Aquaboost provided a full packaged system that included two booster sets, each designed for specific tasks within the water supply chain. These were:
- Two-Pump Transfer Booster Set (SP2V-15HM05-MAB-48): This unit was tasked with transferring water up the embankment to the second booster set.
- Three-Pump Booster Set (SP3V-15HM05-MAB-72): This system supplied water to all outlets within the complex.
Both booster sets were fitted with the optional GSM system, which enabled remote monitoring via SMS texts. This was particularly beneficial given the poor data coverage in the area. Instead of relying on cloud systems, the GSM system used a SIM card and modem to send alerts directly to the service provider if any issues arose with the booster sets.

Challenges Addressed:
- Elevated Water Supply: The first booster set had to pump water 40 meters up an embankment to reach the second set. This required careful planning to ensure both pumps would meet the demands of the site.
- Remote Monitoring Needs: With poor data coverage in the area, traditional cloud-based monitoring wasn’t feasible. Stuart Turner Aquaboost chose an SMS-based system, which provided a more reliable and simpler solution for remote monitoring.
- Environmental Protection: The equipment needed to be protected from the harsh elements on site. This required custom GRP enclosures, which housed the pumps and associated electrical equipment, ensuring they remained safe from weather conditions.

Implementation:
- Pre-Assembly & Testing: Both booster sets and enclosures were delivered to Stuart Turner Aquaboost’s Eggborough facility. All electrical work was completed in-house, including the installation of a full distribution board, frost stat, heater, and a bulkhead light with a sensor. A "dead test" certificate was also completed before dispatch to ensure everything was functioning correctly.
- Final Delivery and Installation: Once the systems were fully assembled and tested, they were shipped to the site and installed on location.

Outcome:
The water booster system provided a reliable and efficient solution to the leisure club, overcoming challenges related to the terrain and the need for remote monitoring. The GSM system, which sent SMS alerts in case of issues, ensured that the service provider was notified promptly, providing peace of mind to the client.
The GRP enclosures kept the equipment safe from the elements, ensuring that the system operated efficiently despite the potentially harsh outdoor conditions. The tailored, hands-on approach from Stuart Turner Aquaboost made this a successful project.

Key Benefits:
- Reliable Water Supply: Ensured consistent water pressure across the complex.
- Remote Monitoring: SMS alerts for any issues provided greater reliability in a remote area.
- Protection from the Elements: GRP enclosures safeguarded the equipment against weather conditions.
- Turnkey Solution: Comprehensive installation, from site survey to testing, all carried out in-house.
